Independent Program/System Audits
The District has undertaken a series of independent audits of programs and systems operations. Some of these are being sponsored by well known, reform-minded organizations like the Broad Foundation, which support systemic change. The first two audits in this series were funded by Broad. There are the Organizational Effectiveness Audit, conducted by Dr. Bob Schiller in August 2009, and the Communications Audit done by Mr. Terry Abbott in September 2009.
We know that a challenging pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade education that ensures students are successful is an essential part of a child’s success beyond high school. The results of these audits are being used to optimally align and use resources in support of the district’s strategic plan and overarching goal---to graduate all students college and career ready.
