Annual Career Information Night, Formerly the Family Learning Night for Students & Parents is now a part of Parent University
Reno, NV (October 31, 2011) -Students and their parents who wonder what life will look like after graduation can see a glimpse of a number of local careers available in the area at the sixth annual Career Planning Family Learning Night.
Set for Wednesday, November 2, 6-8:00 p.m. at the Academy of Arts, Careers & Technology (AACT, formerly the Regional Technical Institute, RTI), the free session is designed to provide attendees with information on number of northern Nevada career paths, school district resources and more.
Students and parents will have their choice to attend short, repeating breakout sessions of their choosing. A number of local professionals will be available to discuss work in their areas. Speakers on career topics include: Technology, Green Energy, Public Safety, Building Trades, Hospitality, Finance, Education, Medical and NCIS (Nevada Career Information System).
Complimentary cookies and childcare for ages two-five, by AACT students, will be available beginning at 5:45 p.m. and the general session will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Spanish interpreters will be present and a packet of information will be handed out to all.
