Campus Expectations and Discipline

Hug Administrative Team Position Statement: The best classroom managers are classroom teachers! When a situation arises that has exhausted the progressive discipline within the classroom or is so egregious that a referral must be made teachers need to empower the administrative team to work with the student to resolve the issue. Once the referral is made….please trust the responding administrator to handle appropriately. “Appropriately” may differ from student to student. The root word for discipline, disciple….means to teach. This is our primary goal. Teach kids so the offensive behavior doesn’t happen again. This teaching manifests itself in a variety of ways.
