Juniper Elementary School is blessed with a supportive and talented PTA. Our parents give time, money, energy, and personal resources to help our school be its best for our precious children. PTA meetings are held monthly. (See calendar pages for dates and times)
Juniper PTA produces and sponsors our annual Jamboree, which is their biggest fundraiser. PTA makes a myriad of supplies and activities possible for our students with their efforts. From new student furniture, to field trip buses, to painting and paving, our parents step in and help with it all.
Our parent volunteers are a big part of our school effort and our staff and students greatly appreciate the time they give. Please contact your child's classroom teacher to volunteer in the classroom or for field trips. We are always in need of adults who can spend time helping a child improve his/her Reading and Math skills. If you're interested in signing up to be a volunteer just give us a call and we'll provide the training so your time here is more productive and enjoyable. Consider investing an hour a week to help a student. Call the school for more information on how to get involved.
Juniper is also fortunate to have several Partners-In-Education. Sparks Target adopted us several years ago and is a dedicated and active part of many annual traditions and activities. They sponsor part of our Jamboree and if you shop at Target with their credit card a portion of the sale is donated to Lena Juniper School. (See store for details) Tropical Penguin Scuba sponsors our Annual Academic Bowl. Baring Blvd. 7-11 store sponsors incentive prizes and helps with the Angel Tree and Food Drive donations. Tahoe Creamery Ice Cream sponsors incentives for reading. Many other local businesses support our school and we are thankful for their involvement.
