High School Family Engagement

United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra in partnership with the Education Alliance of Washoe County and Washoe County School District recently received a planning grant for family engagement from AT&T and United Way Worldwide. This was a nationwide competitive grant and we are fortunate to be one of the 15 grantees chosen for this project. The project is being facilitated locally by Social Entrepreneurs, Inc., a research and evaluation organization. The project is also being evaluated by the Harvard Family Research Project, one of the national leading research organizations for family engagement and education.
The grant is to help a team from each of WCSD's comprehensive high schools plan for systemic family engagement with families.
