Marvelous May is here! What a beautiful spring we are having! With wonderful weather, I want to remind parents of our dress code for our students. Remember, no spaghetti straps and flip flops are not recommended because of the running around during PE and recess. Also, shorts must be past the hands!

Thank you Blue and Red track parents for your help with getting your child here for CRT testing. Green and Yellow Track parents, your child’s CRT testing is will be May 21^st- May 25^th. Please make sure to NOT make any appointments that week because we need all of our students here for testing. Also, a good breakfast and good night’s rest so that your child, our student, does their best on the state mandated tests! I know that our students and teachers have worked hard to prepare for these all important tests!

This first week of May was Teacher Appreciation Week. I want to thank the PTO and many parents that have shown their appreciation for our fabulous teachers here at SSES. The special gifts and kind thoughts mean so much to our teachers, so thank you.

Lastly, I just wanted to acknowledge all of our wonderful mothers in our community. You are so deserving of a special day on Sunday, May 13^th. I hope your families shower you with love and gifts! I want you to know that I appreciate the moms that come into our school and volunteer their time. I know how hard it is in this day in age to make time to be here, so thank you for your time and love and support.

Blue Track parents and students, I cannot believe it is your last month of school! Enjoy and work hard.

Happy May everyone and I hope that we all work hard to finish the year strong and that the weather holds so that our sunny spring continues! I love this school, and I love this community. ;0)

PTO CORNER

Skate Night was a blast again!  Thanks to all of you that came out. We have scheduled several skate nights for next year as well.  We look forward to catching you at one of them!

 Our final Bingo of the year is May 8th.  It's a Triple Crown Theme and we'll have a taco bar for dinner. Come out and join us for a chance to win the roll over pot!

 We will be doing elections for the PTO Board in June.  We need a Secretary!  Please, if you have any interest in being on the Board, come to our meeting on May 8th. 

 Otterfest is right around the corner. Please check your PTO email blasts for details.  We will need lots of volunteers for this event.
