Resignation
Please notify Substitute Services and let us know if you have decided to no longer substitute for the District.
Removal from Substitute Teacher List
If you do not substitute at least one (1) day within a six-month period (not counting June, July , or August), you will be removed from the Substitute Teacher list. If you wish to substitute again, you will be treated as a new applicant and must reapply.
Expired Substitute License
It is the responsibility of the substitute to provide Substitute Services with a copy of their valid substitute license. We will remove from active status anyone whose license is not current and will reactivate them when proof of a valid license is provided.
Discipline
Formal evaluations of substitute teachers are not routinely done, but a teacher may submit a substitute teacher unsatisfactory evaluation form at any time. If three unsatisfactory forms are received, the substitute will be notified in writing and require a meeting with an administrator. A fourth unsatisfactory evaluation may result in the substitute being permanently removed from service.
A substitute can be terminated for a single incident, based on its severity.
Administrative Regulations
