As Sun Valley's school counselor I am primarily interested in helping the students, parents, families, and faculty of Sun Valley Elementary School. The counseling program is a research based curriculum designed to improve student achievement. I do classroom lessons on such topics as: bullying, anger management, social skills, and child safety. I also provide extra help in small group for friendship skills, behavior management, and solving problems, in addition to seeing children individually.

As a school counselor I have access to community resources for counseling referrals, parenting help, food, rental or power assistance, clothing, support groups and a host of other services. The counseling program offers assistance to students during times of crisis in order to provide support to maximize their academic achievement. I am available Monday-­Friday throughout the school year to assist the families of Sun Valley.
