WOLF - Part-time
- Part-time WOLF courses are only available to students currently enrolled in a
WCSD high school.
- WOLF operates on the quarter system (two quarters per semester).
- Only one .5 credit part-time course may be taken per quarter (unless authorized by WOLF administrator).
- Registration for a part-time course closes approximately ten days before the first school
day of each quarter. - All coursework, including the final exam, must be completed within the quarter.
- The course will end on the last day of the quarter regardless if the student has completed the course or not.
- Students that do not complete the course by the end of the quarter
will receive an F and no refund for the course.
- Part-time WOLF courses cost $180 per each .5 credit course.
- Registration is available either online, via US mail, or in office.
- A $25 processing fee will be assessed on all refunds if course is dropped
by the fifth day of the quarter. - No refund will be given beyond the fifth day of the quarter.
- All refunds are issued via check within 2-3 weeks of request.
- Students with an IEP or 504 must provide a copy of their accommodations page to the Supplemental Credit Office prior to the start of the course in order for the
student to receive accommodations addressing online education.
- Students enrolled in a part-time WOLF course have access to Nevada state
certified teachers via phone, instant chat, or in person. - All core courses are taught by Washoe County School District teachers.
- Teachers are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, 4 days a week and from 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm, one day a week except for one half-hour break each day.
- Check with your teacher to find out what hours he or she is available.
- Final exams MUST be proctored at the WOLF School under the
direction of a proctor. - All lessons preceding the test must be completed and submitted for a
grade before a student is allowed to test. - Students must present a picture ID at all proctored exams.
- The final exam may only be taken once and will not be reset.
- Final grades for all WOLF high school courses will be posted to the student's transcript by the Supplemental Credit Office within 2-3 weeks of course
completion. - No record of the class will be posted to the student's transcript if the class
is dropped by the fifth day of the quarter.
