Counselor for Traner M.S. Students (Last Names - A-GO)

I am Mrs. Robinson and I am a new counselor here at Traner Middle School. I am looking forward to a fun filled year! I have a master’s degree in social work and counseling. I have been working in the child welfare field for the past 12 years. My passion is helping others succeed. I grew up in a small town; I love sports, and spending my summers at the lake wakeboarding and water skiing with my children and my family. Tengo mi Maestría en Trabajo Social y en Consejeria. He estado trabajando en el campo del bienestar infantil por los últimos 12 años. Mi pasión es ayudar a otros a salir adelante éxitosamente. Crecí en un pueblo pequeño, me encantan los deportes, y en el verano me gusta ir al lago y practicar deportes aquáticos con mis hijos y mi familia. Counselor for Traner M.S. Students (Last Names - GR-PA)

Hi, my name is Ms. Robyns and I am the counselor this year for students who have last names that start with GR – PA. I have a Masters Degree in Educational Counseling and also received my National Board Certification for counseling in 2008. While I am new to Traner Middle School, I have been working as a school counselor now for 8 years. I was born in Berkeley, California, and raised in a small town in northern California where I learned to love playing in the mountains. In addition to my outdoor interests I love traveling with friends and family, Indiana Jones, soy lattes, and my fellow counselors!

Hola, mi nombre es Srta. Robyns y soy la Consejera de estudiantes que tienen el apellido que empiezan con las letras GR-PA. Tengo un a Maestría en Consejería de Educación al igual que é recibido un Certificado de la Junta Nacional por consejería en el 2008. Al igual que también soy una de las nuevas conjeras aqui en Traner Middle school, tengo experiencia trabajando en la consejería escolar por 8 años. Nací en Berkeley, California, y me crié en un pueblo pequeño en el Norte de California donde pude aprender a disfrutar la vista de montañas. En adición de mi interés el los paisajes del aire libre, a mí me fascina viajar con familia y amigos, también me encanta Indiana Jones, y cafe latte con leche de soya, y con mis compañeros de consejería!.

My name is Mr. Rodriguez, I am a new counselor here at Traner Middle School, and I am looking forward to a great year. I enjoy working with students and helping students achieve their goals. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling. I enjoy playing video games, going camping, snowboarding, and spending time with my friends. Counselor Mission Statement

The mission of the Traner counseling program is to support all students academically, physically, and emotionally. The counseling department will work toward preparing every student to be college and/or career ready and become productive members of society.

Beliefs

Cultural and racial differences should be taken into consideration when working with students.
Parents should been encouraged to be involved in their child's education.
The school counselor should be known to all students and teachers.
The needs of the school should be assessed yearly and programs should be developed accordingly.
All students should have the same opportunities available to them.
All students can learn and become a productive member of society.

Philosophy

We agree to promote respect for each student, their individuality and the diversity that they bring to our academic environment.
We agree to promote positive human relationships and conflict resolution skills.
We agree to prepare students to be productive, contributing citizens who have a strong work ethic, necessary for success in today's world of work.
