Thank you to all the parents, friends and family that attended Bring Someone Special to School! It was wonderful to see so many of our Verdi families. Thanks also to our fabulous PFA for providing yummy breakfast treats. Thank you to the many families that made a difference in a child's holiday season by donating to our annual "Angel Tree". Congratulations to our 6th grade students! They went above and beyond in October by working 162 community service hours. You ROCK! Hope to see you all on Tuesday, December 4th for dinner out at El Pollo Loco! Mrs. Geil

5th graders...Our 5th Grade class along with the help of Mrs. Miller sold hot chocolate during recess and made $131.00 to donate to the Animal Humane Society. In helping others, we shall help ourselves, for whatever good we give out completes the circle and comes back to us.

6th graders ...Our 6th grade class are still collecting toiletry items for the homeless. They are collecting items small and large such as shampoo, soap, razors, deodorant and mens socks. Please deliver donated items to the office.

December 4th Dinner Out ...We all love chicken and we all love good food so join us on Tuesday, December 4th from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. at El Pollo Loco on Maeanne and McCarran. See you there!

December 8th Holiday Gift Shoppe ...Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 8th for Verdi's annual Holiday Gift Shop. Students are invited to shop for family members from 9:00 a.m. till noon in the multi-purpose room. There will be a variety of gifts priced $5.00 and under. And a parent waiting room with coffee and cookies while your student shops!

December 11th PFA Meeting ...Stay in touch with what is happening here at your child's school. Plan to attend our next meeting on Tuesday, December 11th at 3:30 p.m. Babysitting is provided!

December 18th Music Program ...is planned for the 2nd and 3rd graders Tuesday, December 18th at 11:00 a.m. in the multi-purpose room.

December 24th thru January 4th, 2013...begins the Winter Break. School will resume on Monday, January 7, 2013. Happy Holidays!

4th, 5th 6th grade parents ...In case you missed the S.H.A.R.E. parent preview night in September, there will be another opportunity to attend on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. It will be from 5:30- 7:30pm at Mount Rose Elementary School in the cafeteria. Please contact Annie Solvason @ 345-8100 if you have any questions.
