Bucket Brigade is Back!...We are holding our second annual "Bucket Brigade" to focus on positive student interactions! Mrs. Solvason will kick off the event by reading the book How Full is Your Bucket for Kids. During the week of November 5th, we will be doing school wide activities to promote kindness. We encourage you to talk with your children about the activities we are doing at school. We would like parents to be a part of our week-long celebration of kindness and ask that you fill out the attached form and give examples of how your child makes you feel good at home. Please return the form to the office in the envelope provided. Your response will be shared in class with your child on Friday November 9th!

Candy Drive ...We are collecting excess Halloween candy to donate to the homeless center. Please drop off at the office by Wednesday, November 7th.

Election ...No school for students on Tuesday, November 6th... Get out and VOTE! Staff will be participating in professional development.

Veteran's Day ...NO SCHOOL on Monday, November 12th.

Blood Drive ...Verdi Elementary is hosting a blood drive here at the school on Tuesday, November 13th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. If you would like to donate, simply give us a call at 345-8100 and we will put you on our schedule. It only takes about 15 minutes. Thank you for helping!

Parent Faculty Association (PFA) ...Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 13th at 3:30 pm. Babysitting will be provided.

Conscious Discipline ...Please join us for our next presentation on Wednesday, November 14th at 2:45 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. in the multi-purpose room. This session will be on assertiveness.

Bring Someone Special to School ...Join your student for breakfast and a visit to their classroom on Wednesday, November 21st. Breakfast will be served anytime from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. followed by a visit to their classroom till 10:00 a.m.

Spirit Wear ...Thank you to everyone that purchased school spirit wear. Remember to send your child to school on Friday's in their Verdi Wear.

Thanksgiving Holiday ...No School November 22nd and 23rd. Happy Turkey Day.

Holiday Shop ...Mark your calendars! Students are invited to shop for family members at Verdi Elementary School's annual Gift Shop on Saturday December 8th 9:00 am to noon in the multi-purpose room. There will be a variety of gifts priced $5 or less.

Cookie Dough ...The 6th grade has 8 boxes of Caramel Apple Crunch cookie dough for sale at $16 a box. If you would still like some cookie dough see Julie in the office.
