Welcome back... We are looking forward to a great year. Please plan to be a part of your child's memories this year by starting off to volunteer to help at our annual Pumpkin Patch Festival. You will be receiving a phone call soon asking for your help. Parents please remember to sign in the front office each time you come to school to help. P.F.A... Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 15th at 3:25 p.m. Babysitting will be provided. We are encouraging every family to join for a $10.00 donation. Forms were sent home and are also available in the office. We are looking for volunteers to be in different committees that enhance our school. Please come and support our school. We are hoping for 100% participation/involvement.

Crafters... If you know someone who is a crafter/vendor and would like to show off their wares, the Pumpkin Patch is a great way to do this. Have them contact Kellie Paul at 823-9535.

Update... The Holiday Shop is Saturday December 5th from 9am-12pm (Please Note This Date Has Changed since the Printing of the School Calendar).

Box Tops... We are always collecting Box tops for the school. Don't forget to cut those coupons off your boxes and have your child bring them to the office.

September 12, 2009... The Verdi History Center is having a large neighborhood garage sale and spaghetti feed. Plan to attend.

School Pictures... will be Friday, Sept. 25th. Watch for a flyer coming home.

Lunchroom Tidbits... Daily Lunch- $2.50; Weekly- $12.50. Lunch payment due in advance. Checks payable to WCSD (if no $$ on account-- cheese sandwich only is provided). $$$ A TOKEN is borrowed lunch money. Please Repay!!

6th Grade Cookie Dough Sale (9/4 - 9/17)... YUMMY. Help our 6th graders go to science camp buy a tub or two of delicious Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough.

Multipurpose Aprons- Made by our Lunch Ladies to benefit Verdi ES... $8.00 each or 2 for $15.00. Kids sizes $3.00 to $5.00. Great holiday gift item.

Squeeze In Breakfast for Dinner... September 18th at 6pm - 8pm. 5020 Las Brisas Blvd, Reno, at McCarran 1/2 mile north of Mae Anne. This fundraiser is for Verdi Elementary Family and Friends Only. Check out flyer: Squeeze In BFD.
